瑶琼村在磁灶镇南部，位于镇政府驻地以南约1.8公里处。村东邻锦美村，西面与内坑镇接界[1][2]。

历史沿革[edit]

瑶琼原俗称窑顶，意思是磁窑的上方，瑶琼是它的雅称[2]。明清时期这里属三都。1944年属大宅保；1956年划入内坑区锦和乡；1961年设磁灶公社瑶琼大队；1989年改设磁灶镇瑶琼村委会[2]。

地理环境[edit]

村子由瑶琼、后坑、新乡三个自然村组成，村域面积约2.5平方千米，耕地1482亩[2][3]。

人口民族[edit]

截至2008年，村中有3876人、1003户[2]。人口较多的姓氏是陈、张、徐三姓[3]。

文化[edit]

瑶琼自然村有武安王宫，供奉元帅公和武安王；后坑自然村有福山宫，供奉保生大帝。武安王宫的祭祀香期在农历三月十八和八月十八，福山宫在三月十五，香期都有小型庙会[3]。

荣誉[edit]

2005年，瑶琼村党支部被评为磁灶镇先进党支部[2]。2007年，该村被确定为福建省农民健身体育工程点[2]。
