历史沿革[edit]
社区旧称梅溪、梅里。宋代时归开建乡养能里管辖，明清两代隶属二都[1][2]。1944年，这里编入梅溪乡梅里保[1]。1958年，社区所在地划入磁灶人民公社[1]。
地理环境[edit]
地形自西北朝东南递降，背靠山岭、临近溪流，海八公路南北贯穿社区。梅溪是晋江市境内最大的内陆河，唐宋元明清各代都经由它运送磁灶陶器出海[2]。
人口民族[edit]
社区下设山尾、大宫、新街、十字街、深坵、顶流坑六个片点，共有二十三个村民小组，以吴姓居多[2][3]。
文化[edit]
社区内有磁灶窑的童子山窑址，属于磁灶窑址的组成部分[3]。2024年12月，社区入选「2024年福建省儿童友好社区」名单[1]。
