大布林社区是灵源街道下辖的社区，坐落于黑麒麟山脚，社区总面积70万平方米。[1]

地名由来[edit]

据传此地先有傅姓兄弟二人在黑、红麒麟山麓的树林中建居。后傅姓衰落，他姓迁入，因“傅”与“布”方言音近，又便于书写，遂改写为布林。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

宋代属开建乡仁孝里，明清属五都，1944年属康乐乡双林保。[1]

2003年11月，大布林村从安海镇析出，划归灵源街道，改设大布林社区居民委员会。[1]

人口[edit]

社区现有居民256户，人口1062人。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2021年6月，社区被命名为「2020年度晋江市平安村（社区）」。[1]
