大山后社区是灵源街道下辖的社区，位于晋江市中部，2004年由安海镇划归灵源街道管辖，是街道第三大社区。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村落地处红麒麟山与乌麒麟山之麓，地势较高，原称山厚或山后；因处在晋江第二高峰的丘陵地带，又称顶山后，后来定名大山后。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

新中国成立后，村子归安海乡管辖；1958年成为安海公社之下的大山后大队，1984年起划为安海镇大山后村委会。[1]

2004年，全村4384亩土地全部被五里工业园区征用，村子从安海镇划归灵源街道，村民转为城镇居民，改设大山后社区居民委员会。[1][2]

人口[edit]

全社区共1000多户，人口约3800人，其中党员82人。旅居海外、港澳台的侨亲约1000人。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

社区的古迹包括经重修的王氏宗祠两座、三王府宫两座，另有天马寺、吴真人庙和福寿堂。[2]

红麒麟山一带辟有休闲风景区，山下还有进士府等古建筑。[2]
