地名由来[edit]
古时这里橧树遍布、树林茂密，故称橧林。后来曾姓成为村中望族，去掉“木”字，改称曾林。[1]
人口[edit]
辖区面积2.1平方公里，现有215户、801人，旅居海外者300多人。[2]
荣誉[edit]
2022年12月，社区被福建省爱国卫生运动委员会命名为「2022年福建省卫生社区」，同月又被福建省绿化委员会命名为「2022年福建省森林村庄」。[1]
2021年6月，社区被命名为「2020年度晋江市平安村（社区）」。[1]
2005年，社区获评泉州市级「宽裕型文明村」。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
宋代属开建乡仁孝里，元明清时属五都，民国期间属康乐乡。建国后曾一度与邻村合并，1965年再度独立，仍归安海公社管理。[1]
2003年11月，曾林村从安海镇析出，划归灵源街道，改设曾林社区居民委员会。[1]
经济[edit]
辖区内有泉州市灵源药业有限公司，居民以工商业为主。[2]
