小浯塘社区是灵源街道下辖的社区，位于街道东南方向，泉州环城高速穿过社区，交通便利。[1]

地名由来[edit]

该地位于英紫山脉环抱之处，面临一条溪流。早先有吴姓在溪两岸各开凿一口方塘，周围后来聚居成村，村名以谐音改称浯塘。因这口塘较小，称小浯塘，雅称锦塘。[1]

人口[edit]

外来人口将近2000多人，社区本身人口约1480多人，面积约1.8平方公里。[1]

社区由吴氏、蔡氏、李氏三个自然村组成，共分8个居民小组。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

宋代属开建乡仁孝里，明清属泉州府晋江县第五都。[1]

2003年11月，小浯塘从罗山镇析出，划归灵源街道，改设小浯塘社区居民委员会。[1]
