地名由来[edit]
社区原名大浯塘，旧时村边有一方大池塘，名为浯塘。村中翁氏以“英”为号，村落又位于蜿蜒的英紫山脉之中，遂取“英”与“塘”合成英塘，别称玉塘。[1]
人口[edit]
居民共842户，3217人，其中外来人口167人；社区下设18个居民小组，面积2.5平方公里。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
2003年11月，罗山镇被撤销，原英塘村另设于灵源街道，成立英塘社区居民委员会。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
吴将军衙是清代将军吴英的故居，位于社区内。[1]
社区内有翁氏祠堂和蔡氏祠堂，翁氏为大姓。[1]
