地名由来[edit]
张前古称林内，明代这里已称张前村。因张姓最先在此开基，故名张前。[1][2]
地理环境[edit]
社区区域面积1.6平方公里，其中埔地200多亩，旱地800多亩，另有水田300多亩。[2]
人口[edit]
社区居住621户，人口2321人，居民以何姓为主。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
这一带自古属泉州府晋江。宋元时归开建乡仁孝里管辖，明清时属四十二都，张前为第五都。[2][3]
1984年设罗山乡张前村委会，1992年改属晋江市罗山镇。2003年11月，张前村由罗山镇划入灵源街道，同年改设张前社区居民委员会。[2][3]
