梧林社区属晋江市新塘街道，位于街道西南部，与湖格、上郭等社区相邻。该地古称狮头埕，又称五篮，后以梧林为名。村中保存有旅菲侨胞回乡所建的西式楼群。[1][3][4]

地名由来[edit]

该地古称狮头埕，后又称五篮。传说石狮祥芝一带的蔡氏在此搭棚养鸭，遇连夜大风雨，鸭群不肯离去，蔡氏便将家中仅存的五篮稻谷喂鸭，认定此处为风水宝地，于是定居，村名遂称五篮，雅称梧林。另一说此地原多梧桐成林，蔡氏建居后得名梧林。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1956年属栖梧区上郭乡，1959年为罗山公社梧林大队，1984年设罗山乡梧林村委会，1991年起称罗山镇梧林村委会。2003年罗山镇撤销后，梧林改设新塘街道梧林社区居委会。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

梧林近代建筑群位于社区内，由朝东楼、德鑨楼、顺意楼组成，为20世纪30年代旅菲蔡氏华侨回乡所建的西式楼群。朝东楼建于1930年，德鑨楼建于1932年，顺意楼建于1938年。建造者在抗战时期捐款支援抗战，因而多数未能完工。2020年3月，该建筑群被公布为晋江市文物保护单位；同年11月，被公布为第十批福建省文物保护单位。[3][4]

晋江修养楼建于1934年，为三层钢筋混凝土碉楼，由梧林侨眷吴当及其子蔡顺意出资建成，用于防御匪盗。楼内曾放置枪支，由村民自卫队轮流守护，因此也称枪楼。[2]

文化[edit]

2016年12月，社区被列入第四批中国传统村落名录。2020年11月，社区入选「2020年福建省金牌旅游村」名单；2021年8月，入选「第三批全国乡村旅游重点村」名单。2024年10月，被确定为「泉州市2024年度市级一村一品专业村」，主导产业为休闲旅游；2025年11月，被确定为「福建省2025年度省级一村一品专业村」。[1]

2021年6月，社区被命名为「2020年度晋江市平安村（社区）」。[1]

据晋江市人民政府2023年的报道，梧林传统村落的保护利用自2017年3月启动，其一期核心区的132栋古建筑以传统工艺修缮。[5]
