后库社区属晋江市新塘街道，靠近泉石旧公路，与晋江机场隔路相望。社区名沿用其居民祖籍地的村名。[1]

地名由来[edit]

居民由安海镇后库分迁而来，为不忘先祖旧居，沿用原村名。原村后方临海湾码头，多有货仓，故称后库。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

后库历来隶属泉州府晋江县，明清两代属二十六都。1944年归大同乡祥陵保，1956年属栖梧区后洋乡，1961年归罗山公社后库大队，1984年改为罗山乡后库村，1991年起归罗山镇后库村委会管辖。2003年11月，罗山镇一带改设新塘街道，后库遂成为社区居委会。[1]
