新塘街道是福建省泉州市晋江市下辖的街道，位于晋江市中部，介于晋江与石狮两市之间。街道名称来自辖内古代的水利灌溉设施七首塘，2003年11月由原罗山镇辖下的11个行政村与晋江市良种场合并设立。年鉴所载辖区居委会为13个。[1][2][6]

历史沿革[edit]

宋代这一带属安仁乡，元、明、清时归二十六都管辖。1942年称梧川保，1952年划入梅山峰乡，1956年改属罗山乡，1991年归罗山镇管辖。[1][4]

2003年11月，原罗山镇辖下11个村连同晋江市良种场，组建为新塘街道办事处。2004年12月，11个村民委员会改为社区居民委员会；2020年4月增设晋良社区，2022年1月增设晋新社区。[2][4]

地理环境[edit]

街道总面积约22平方千米，耕地约14360亩。辖区多为平原，间有低矮丘陵；气候属南亚热带海洋性，季风较强，日照充足。[2]

年鉴表1-2另列户数为12032户，男性20286人、女性19742人。[6]

地名由来[edit]

街道名称来自辖区内的古代灌溉设施七首塘，前缀「新」表明它是新组建的办事处。[2][5]

名胜古迹[edit]

锡福堂位于沙塘社区，现存建筑为明代所建，属文物保护单位；百度百科称其为泉州市文物保护单位，博雅地名网作市级。[1][7]

梧林近代建筑群位于梧林社区，由朝东楼、德鑨楼、顺意楼组成，是20世纪30年代旅菲蔡氏华侨回乡所建的西式楼群，2020年11月列为第十批福建省文物保护单位。[8][9]

晋江修养楼位于梧林，建于1934年，为三层碉楼，因楼内曾存放枪支而俗称枪楼。[3]

杏坂海岸长桥碑刻群位于杏坂社区海汇庵内，为明代至民国的水利碑记群，2013年列为晋江市第五批市级文物保护单位。[3]

洑田庙位于南塘社区，建于宋代，为市级文物保护单位。[3]
