樟井社区位于晋江市罗山街道东南一带，东边与新塘街道的湖格社区隔界相望，南面接着梧垵社区，西面和山仔相连，北面紧挨许坑社区。社区别称玉井、玉紫，名字来自昔日樟树林中的一口清泉古井。[1][2][3]

历史沿革[edit]

过去这里遍生樟树，一株枝叶茂盛的大樟树下有口清泉不竭的古井，村落因此形成，名叫樟井。[1]

此地明清时归属十三都。1984年改设村委会，到2003年才成为社区居委会。[3]

人口民族[edit]

全社区设17个居民小组，常住户为619户，常住人口则是2583人，此外还有800余名外出务工人员，低保户18户，五保户2户。[2]

地理环境[edit]

耕地面积1400亩，水田500亩，旱地900亩，平均每人约0.55亩。[2]

经济[edit]

居民主要以农业和个体工商业谋生，社区内有小型企业5家。2009年，社区人均收入为7040元。[2]

文化[edit]

社区是经晋江市委、市人民政府认定的「老革命基点村」，经济基础相对薄弱。[2][3]

樟井姚氏宅为近现代一般文物点。[4]
