历史沿革[edit]
这里原先叫作古居，本指古时居民简陋的住屋，后讹音为古坑、古里。因与许坑的方言读音相近，才演变成现在的许坑。[1]
明清两代这里属二十六都。1944年时它归大同乡祥陵保管辖，1956年改属池店区罗山乡，1959年又设为罗山公社许坑大队。1984年又改为罗山乡许坑村委会，2003年才设为社区居委会。[3]
经济[edit]
社区现有企业16家，以蚊香、家具与汽配为主，多为中小型家庭式作坊。[4]
据百度百科，社区人均年收入为13573元，并依托智能产业园谋求发展。[3]
文化[edit]
2006年，社区被确定为晋江市第一批「百村示范、村村整治」示范社区。其后又先后获得「绿色社区」与「十佳示范社区」等称号。[1][3]
