官前社区在罗裳山的西侧。社区西边是沈海高速的晋江出口，晋光路（沈海高速连接线）从村中穿过。[1]
社区原名柯前，相传是柯姓人家建居之地。因闽南话里「由此绕到前头」的说法，原名柯前，后谐音改为官前。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
据传，吕、柯两姓先祖请地理师选址，最终定居在罗裳山下。[1]
1998年，社区经晋江市验收，被定为宽裕型小康村。2003年11月，它由磁灶镇的官前村改为社区，此后归西园街道办事处管理。[1][2]
社区组成[edit]
社区由吕、柯两个自然村组成。[2]
经济[edit]
改革开放前，社区的主要产业是编竹器制品、小手工业和种植业；改革开放后，钢结构厂房建筑业等第三产业成为主要产业。[2]
