砌田社区位于沈海高速晋江出口处，在罗裳山南面。[1]

社区古称蔡田，因最早居民蔡姓在此开垦田地而得名，后谐音写作砌田。别称锦田、锦里。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

砌田村原属磁灶镇。2003年11月，因区域调整，它由磁灶镇改属西园街道办事处，成为砌田村委会。[1]

2004年11月23日，砌田村的建制改为社区居委会。[1]

社区组成与经济[edit]

社区由张厝、何厝、吴厝和后边四个自然村组成，产业以再生造纸、汽配加工和印刷为主。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

刘埯塔位于砌田社区，建于明代，为方形三层石塔，总高3.84米，西面刻「明万历丙午年六月建」。塔的位置靠近崎山公园的玫瑰园，1991年列为第二批市级文物。[2][3]
