王厝社区位于晋江市北部，在九十九溪中下游，东与梅岭街道接壤，西与屿头社区交界。[1][2]

元代初年有王姓人家来此开垦定居，村因此称王厝。[1]

历史人文[edit]

梅屿洪氏的先祖十四朝奉公于唐光启年间随王审知入闽。后裔圆道公携子贵生定居梅屿，贵生被奉为梅屿洪氏一脉的始祖。[2]

明永乐丁酉年（1417年）冬，四世柏斋公克正与宗弟绍文修筑沿江斗门，即今淞江斗门，又疏浚九十九溪以通水源。[2][5]

经济[edit]

王厝村主产汽车配件，并有与之配套的彩印、纸箱等行业，已形成具有晋江特色的产业。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

淞江斗门位于社区泉厦高速池店右线特大桥西侧，始建于宋嘉定二年（1209年），明永乐十五年（1417年）重修，是晋江市第三批市级文物保护单位。[3][4][5][6]
