烧厝社区属城乡结合区。这里原为萧姓聚居之地，故称萧厝；明清之间萧姓迁往泉州北门清源山下，赖姓随后迁入，村名沿用旧称，俗语谐音写作烧厝。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
明清时这里归泉州府南门外三十一都；1944年划归碧山乡的版筑保；1956年划入池店区霞岭乡。[1]
1961年划归青阳公社，1985年起归青阳镇管辖。2003年从青阳镇析出，划归西园街道，设为烧厝社区居委会。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
李英（李五）墓位于社区南面池店山的半山腰，始建于明天顺元年（1457年），墓址约占地2400平方米，平面为「风」字形。墓主李英为明代富商，也是慈善人士，曾捐资增高洛阳桥的桥墩，并重修六里陂。[2][3]
该墓为市级文物保护单位，属第三批，1999年公布。[4]
