屿头社区位于晋江市区西部，离市中心约4公里，福厦高速公路与双龙公路横穿辖区。社区又称仕头，旧属泉州府南门外三十一都。[1][2]

这里古时是海湾，地势较高，好像汪洋中浮起的岛屿之首，因而得名屿头，又称钱屿。[2]

地理环境[edit]

社区南靠八仙山，北依九十九溪沿岸的农业生产基地，东与王厝社区接壤，西与赖厝社区交界。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

1983年以前，屿头归青阳公社的屿头大队管辖。1984年公社与镇合并后，它改由青阳镇的屿头村委会管理。撤县建市之后，它仍在青阳镇内；2003年青阳镇被撤销并改设街道，屿头随之并入西园，成为社区。[1][2]

宗族与人物[edit]

社区内的洪氏，开基祖元卿公据称是北宋名臣洪皓之后，南宋年间避兵乱入闽，定居钱屿，至今已有760多年，传至二十四世。[2]

七世洪富（1488—1560）为明嘉靖进士，官至四川布政，墓地现已重修。九世洪澄源为明万历进士，官至云南布政使。[2]

建筑与文物[edit]

社区现存明清古民居40多座。其中洪富所建的三座古大厝，后裔正按明代旧貌重建。[2]

洪富宅是三座三开间两落大厝并列而成的建筑群，始建于明嘉靖年间，现存建筑为近年重修，2019年9月公布为第六批市级文物保护单位。[3][6]

洪富墓位于双龙路旁，为明代古墓葬，2007年列入第四批市级文物保护单位。[4][6]

洪氏家庙（祠堂）由洪富建于明嘉靖年间，历代屡有损坏修建，1988年族人按原址原貌重建。社区还有慈济宫。[2]

洪德会宅建于清末，为五开间两落硬山顶的砖木民居，位于洪氏家庙后方。据2023年报道，它是一般文物点。[5]

经济[edit]

社区居民兴办的企业有建材厂、卫生用品、彩印、日用品、鞋业、锻工、机配等，也有传统金纸手工业。[2]
