梅山社区是梅岭街道下辖的社区，位于晋江市区中心，是晋江市委所在地。[1]

地名由来[edit]

1958年9月人民公社实行政社合一时，两个原属青阳镇的村合并为一个大队，各取一字合称梅山。社区居委会沿用了这个大队名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

梅山社区的前身为青阳镇梅山居委会，1978年5月自梅山大队中农业与居民分开后析出。[1]

2003年11月，青阳镇撤销，梅山居委会由青阳镇划归梅岭街道，改称梅山社区居委会。[1]

1993年，居委会获晋江市人民政府评为「一级居委会」；1997年，又由市委、市府共同命名为「宽裕型小康村」。[1]
