村庄建在虎岫寺西侧，因此得名西偏。[2]

地名由来[edit]

村子建在虎岫寺西畔，闽南方言中“畔”与“偏”音近，遂称“西偏”。[2]

姓氏宗族[edit]

明初，名宦龚名安之孙龚培迁来此地定居，村中以龚姓为主。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

1984年改称西偏村民委员会。[1]
