地名由来[edit]
古称“官东”，后称“官聘”，闽南话中“官聘”与“杆柄”读音相近，习惯称为杆柄。为了与同名的村落区分，于是加上“后”字。[2][3]
历史沿革[edit]
明代，村中遇饥荒，杨氏举族迁至宝盖山后的张家堡，与张氏为邻，形成犄角之势。族中有人入仕，四邻因杨氏居于张家堡东隅而称此地为“官东”。[2]
1956年设后杆柄高级合作社，1984年改称后杆柄村民委员会。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
村中杨家大楼俗称「九十九间大厝」，由旅菲富商杨邦梭于1929年建成，建筑采用中西结合的风格。[2]
村西宝盖山南麓有「青年水库」，1965年冬由永宁人民公社组织兴建，1967年竣工。水库集雨面积1.14平方千米，总库容54万立方米，坝高10.6米。[2]
