郭坑回族村位于永宁镇区东北约2.2千米，是永宁唯一的少数民族村，1987年经泉州市人民政府批准为回族村。[2]

村中现为单一郭姓，村名取自郭姓先人在山下坑地建屋定居。[2][3]

地名由来[edit]

郭姓的回族族人在山脚的坑地上建屋定居，村因此叫“郭坑”。闽南话中“郭坑”近似“国卿”，因此也有雅称“国卿”。[3][2]

历史沿革[edit]

据传早先此地为颜氏所居。明朝中期，郭氏自惠安白奇迁来，其后郭氏人丁兴旺，颜氏渐渐迁离，全村遂成郭氏一姓。[2]

1956年设郭坑高级社。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

村西山上有郭氏三世祖墓，因墓碑顶端呈圆形而俗称“月亮墓”，碑面饰有莲瓣与云月图案。[2]

郭坑水库在村旁，距镇区约2千米。水库集雨面积0.62平方千米，总库容35.96万立方米，坝高12米。该水库1958年冬起兴建，1961年3月竣工；1995年6月至1996年4月，大坝经除险加固。[2]
