浯沙村在永宁镇区南约1千米，滨临大海，东北与闽南黄金海岸度假区相邻。[1]

村名由“五沙”谐音演变而来，因村落分为五处角落聚居于沙滩而得名。[2]

地名由来[edit]

原为邱姓居住之地，明代起蔡、王、陈、何四姓先后迁入，聚居于滨海沙滩上的五处角落，故称“五沙”，后因闽南方言中“浯”与“五”音近，改称“浯沙”。[2][1]

历史沿革[edit]

1956年设浯沙高级社，1980年分出设浯沙大队，1984年改称浯沙村民委员会。[3]

经济[edit]

分出之后村中以农业为主，兼营近海捕捞。[1]
