深埕村位于石狮市东部沿海，属锦尚镇东部，西接谢厝村，北隔厝上村与锦尚工业区相望。村子建在将军山麓的低洼地带，是石狮市的革命老区基点村。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

村名的来历是地势低洼，洼部有成片荒地，远望如一方很深的土埕，故称深埕。[3]

据博雅地名网，村落最早由刘氏开基，村中至今仍有「刘厝埔」的角落地名。1948年，村中成立中共玉埕支部。[2][3]

自然环境[edit]

村域土地总面积约4688亩，其中耕地约350亩，山地约485亩，森林覆盖率90%。[1]

人口与设施[edit]

村中常住559户，总人口约2059人。村内设有一处军事公园，即海军公园，驻军用地占去不少面积；辖内有企事业单位8家。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2016年至2018年度，村庄获评石狮市军民共建精神文明村先进单位；2018年，获授交通安全示范村称号。[1]
