厝上村位于锦尚镇东北部，由前后厝、后申厝、北长厝、前美厝、斗文房和大墩等角落组成，村子临厝上溪。清乾隆年间村名曾作「港据」，因村落建在港畔高地而得名。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，宋元时期陈氏、张氏曾先后在此聚居。后来人们从港边远望，红砖屋舍整齐地排列在水面之上，村名遂改为「厝上」。村中还有「锦上」「锦尚」的雅称。[3]

清代一部邱氏族谱记载，元末兄弟数人避居海滨，其中一支被视为今村邱氏的始祖，以养鸭为生，其开基地后来被称为「鸭母穴」。[3]

经济[edit]

村中的街仔市场，百余年前已在后申厝一带自发形成，原为民间的鱼类交易，如今已发展为兼售肉类、食品和日用百货的综合市场。[4]

名胜古迹[edit]

邱奕凯烈士陵园位于将军山山麓，纪念厝上籍革命烈士邱奕凯，是石狮市的德育教育基地。[4]

镇政府前的锦尚公园内有慈恩亭，由旅港乡亲邱季端为纪念慈母而建；公园北侧立有福建省人民政府表彰邱季端的功德碑。东源休闲公园建于2009年8月，园内有锦尚邱氏始祖邱德阳的陵园。[4]

石狮市人民政府网站的村情简介列辖区面积约3500亩，其中耕地230亩；住户1100户，村民小组19个。[1]

荣誉[edit]

村庄获评「泉州市文明村」，另获「泉州市民主法治村」「石狮市文明村」等称号，入选「石狮市第三轮首批平安村（社区）」。2021年11月，福建省爱卫办授予厝上村「福建省卫生村」。[1][3]
