东埔二村位于石狮市东南沿海的突出部，辖区面积约1平方公里。[1]

村中现有1127户、总人口4065人，分为10个村民小组，经济以运输、渔业、工商等相关产业为主。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

这一带宋代隶属安仁乡永宁里，明清时期归二十都，民国时作复兴乡东埔保。新中国成立后，1949年划入晋江县第九区，1955年改隶双湖区，1956年归莲塘区东埔乡，1958年成为祥芝公社东埔大队的一部分。[2]

1980年12月，东埔大队分出东埔第二生产大队；1985年，村委会改称祥芝乡东埔第二村委会。[2] 东埔二村委会自1999年9月11日起隶属鸿山镇。[2]

东埔的名称，这一片民国时叫“东群保”；1958年改称东群大队；1980年分设三个大队，1984年三者都改为村。[3]

荣誉[edit]

近年来，村庄先后获得「省级文明村镇」「泉州市级交通安全示范村」等荣誉。[1]
