祥运村位于泉州湾口的出海口，是一个渔业、航运与经商并存的沿海村子。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1961年设立祥运大队，成员主要是祥芝运输船队的家属，以及部分非渔非农的居民。此后村民多数改从渔业。1979年改为「祥芝垵内渔业大队」，简称「垵渔」，后正式改称「祥运」。[2]

村中有一处「桥尾」地名，早时村边海岸上建有一座桥，因桥尾一带蔡、吴、陈等姓聚居而得名。[2]

经济[edit]

村民以海洋渔业捕捞、航运为主，也有人外出经商。[1][2]

文化[edit]

村里获得的荣誉有福建省「创建无邪教示范村」、泉州市基层老年协会「规范化建设示范单位」、市级交通安全示范村居，以及泉州市计划生育合格村等。[1]
