前山村位于祥芝镇东部，三面环山，聚落呈东西走向的狭长形。村名来自村南的一座山。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

村子原称「钱山」，早期开基的是钱姓，后来钱姓在此已无人留存，明初吴姓从晋江磁灶迁入。吴氏先以陶器生意落脚，因祥芝当时商贸发达，吴家逐渐发展航运，并开设当铺。[2]

经济[edit]

村内有海产品加工、纺织、纸制品和贸易等近20家中小企业。[1]

文化[edit]

改革开放后，村里建起一批新别墅，并建成「钱山休闲公园」。[2]

村里获得的荣誉有「全国首批科技示范村落试点」、「泉州美丽乡村」，2019年获「福建省森林村庄」称号，并在2015年、2017—2018年、2021年度被评为福建省文明村。[1]
