古山村是蚶江镇下辖的行政村，位于蚶江镇东南部，距市区4公里，石祥路横穿村中。村名的来历与早年许氏开荒有关，村民以谢、洪、曾、蔡、吴、颜等姓为主。[1][2]

地名与历史沿革[edit]

相传早时有许氏在此小山坡开荒垦耕，故称许山。许氏此后举族迁走，谢、吴、洪等姓相继迁入。闽南方言中「许」与「古」音近，村中已无许姓，遂衍化为古山。[1]

民国时属石狮镇，1958年属人民公社，1961年成立古山村委会，而后于1990年归入蚶江镇。[1]

人口与村情[edit]

据2025年8月公布的村情信息，全村外来人口830人，户籍人口1376人；住户378户，村民小组6个，分为三个片区，村民代表40名。辖区面积1.5平方千米。[2]

经济[edit]

20世纪70年代以前，古山村是贫穷落后的山村。改革开放后，村里统一规划了「古山村工业区」，引进多家企业。村内中小企业有9家。[1][2]

荣誉[edit]

村获得的荣誉有「美丽乡村建设精品村」，并在2021年和2022年两次列入「淘宝村」名单。[2][1]
