历史沿革[edit]
村民起初靠近蚶江村居住，后因风沙侵扰，搬到内陆小山丘下的低洼地，俗称里内；生活安适，遂雅称锦里村。[1]
1956年划入莲塘区石湖乡，1958年设锦里大队，1984年改称锦里村委会。[1]
吴氏先祖元末在蚶江立基，后因明末倭患和清初迁界而四散，康熙年间回迁，依祖坟建居，形成今日的聚落。[1]
人口与村情[edit]
据2025年8月公布的村情信息，全村外来人口4600多人，户籍人口1385人；住户365户，村民小组4个。村内规模以上企业10家。[2]
