蚶江村是蚶江镇下辖的行政村，也是蚶江镇人民政府的驻地，位于石狮市北部、泉州湾南岸。全村分为前垵、东组、西组三个片区，清代的海防官署和对渡碑都在村内。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

村名最早称沈江，系北宋建中靖国年间（1101年）沈姓人家落户于此后所取，后因当地在海滩养蚶，遂改称蚶江。[1][5]

明末郑成功派部将驻守蚶江，并在凤仪山设指挥台，指挥水师操练，山上的遗迹至今称郑成功水操寨遗址。[3]

嘉庆十一年（1806年）在前垵设海防官署，又称通判厅，官署遗址尚存对渡碑。[3]

1958年设蚶江大队，1984年改称蚶江村委会，1987年年底归属石狮市。[1][3]

人口与村情[edit]

据2025年8月公布的村情信息，全村外来人口11472人，户籍人口5999人；住户1778户，村民小组39个，村民代表57人。辖区面积约3.5平方千米。[2]

经济[edit]

村内建有裕康、裕康工业园区，另有500亩西裤生产基地，形成以西裤和服装生产为特色的产业。[2][4]

文化与古迹[edit]

蚶江古街沿晋江流向而建，全长370米，宽3至5米，原有店面108间。街道分顶街头、中街、三姓街三段。[3]

村内后垵澳古渡头和石经幢，均为市级文物保护单位。[1]

每年在后垵澳举办的，有海上泼水节等闽台对渡文化活动。[3]
