地名与聚落[edit]
宋代荥阳郑氏从仙游迁居此地，村子因此得名“郑厝”。[2] 村中两处古迹“二十四都宫”和“宅上坊”，也都成了角落地名。[3]
“二十四都宫”别名“都祀宫”，清代族谱还记有人葬在宫中。[3] “宅上坊”见于道光《晋江县志》，是郑宗焞于康熙五十二年（1713年）中举后所立的牌坊，此地也因之俗称“宅树尾”。[3]
文化遗产[edit]
龟湖蔡氏祖祠位于郑厝村，建于清代，民国时重修。祖祠坐东北朝西南，砖石木结构，前后两进、三开间，建筑面积约200平方米。[2]
行政沿革[edit]
明清时期此地属二十四都。2000年，郑厝村民委员会从原村拆分设立。[2]
村情[edit]
据2026年3月的行政村简介，村内常住1627人，外来约1000人，住户341户；设村民小组5个，支部党员43名。村民从业以五金、建筑、运输与漂染为主。[1]
2008年，全村土地被征收，之后留有142亩回批地和10亩公用地；2017年，市政府回收90余亩回批地，目前余下50余亩回批地，尚待盘活开发。[1]
村内有石狮第三中学和三中附小。[1]

村曾获「泉州市文明村」「石狮市先进基层党组织」「平安村」等称号。[1]
