后垵村在石狮市区北侧，以大北环路为北界，东侧紧邻环湾大道，辖区约1.1平方公里，隶属宝盖镇。[1]

村名来自村后的赤山头，山形似马鞍，“鞍”与“垵”谐音；村中吴氏视此山为家族风水山，别称金山、金峰、龟山。[2][3]

地名[edit]

村后原有一座赤山头，山形像马鞍，“鞍”与“垵”读音相近，村子因此取名“后垵”。[2]

赤山头被村中吴氏视为家族风水山，“赤”即是“金”的意思，故改称“金山”，又称“金峰”，成为村子的雅称；明代又因山形如玄龟，称“龟山”。[3]

人物与文献[edit]

明末，村中吴必达重修族谱，工部尚书林朝栋为之作《吴氏谱序》。[3]

行政沿革[edit]

1984年设后垵村民委员会，1988年9月30日起属石狮市管辖，1990年归石狮街道管辖，1993年划属宝盖镇。[2]

村情[edit]

据2026年3月的行政村简介，村内常住2078人（外来1200人），住户610户，设村民小组12个，支部正式党员52名；多数村民靠务工谋生，另有少部分人经营服装织造、五金加工等规模不大的生产。[1] 2024年12月的村情页则记为住户612户、常住人口2074人。[4]
