地名与聚落[edit]
地名的来历，据说是这一带有数条山脉、丘陵与地块交错，形似龙体，故称“龙合”，后演变为“龙穴”。[2] 社区辖龙穴、八斗、古坑后三个自然村。[2]
清康熙年间，有高氏等姓迁来定居，以“霁江”为堂号。因人口增多，不少村民相继移居菲律宾等地。[3]
文化遗产[edit]
景胜别墅建于龙穴，由旅菲华侨高祖景所建，融合中西建筑风格，别墅之名后来也成为这一带的地名。[2][3] 1998年，它被公布为石狮市文物保护单位；2019年10月7日，国务院公布其为第八批全国重点文物保护单位。[3][4]
