钞坑村是灵秀镇下辖的行政村，距镇区2.5公里，村落由蔡氏族人最早在坑地上建居。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

元末明初，蔡氏族人在一片坑地上建居，村名最初为「蔡坑」。后因出洋谋生的人多，村民渐富，改称「钞坑」。[2]

村落构成[edit]

钞坑包括旧钞、新钞、西溪、新墩四个聚落。旧钞即早先的蔡坑；清初颜氏由永春桃园迁来定居。明天启四年，旧钞坑的部分蔡氏村民迁到一处小坡墩地另建新居，此处即新墩。新钞、西溪也都是旧钞坑村民另建新居的所在，前者在宽阔地带，后者在溪的西边。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

村名历史上曾作「泰亭」，新中国成立前已称钞坑村。1984年设立钞坑村。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2020年12月，钞坑村被认定为「2020年泉州市中级版绿盈乡村」。[1]
