历史沿革[edit]
此地先前的名称有玉湖、东湖和湖边，建国后曾称新湖村。[1]
1993年改称玉湖，此前为新湖村。[2]
2001年9月村改居，设玉湖居民委员会，2002年11月居委会整合为社区。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
玉湖王氏民居又称王起沃故居，建造时间为1900年（清光绪二十六年）至1910年（宣统二年），为旅居菲律宾的爱国华侨王起沃的故居，建筑面积716.5平方米。2020年11月19日，福建省人民政府公布其为第十批省级文物保护单位。[3]
