历史沿革[edit]
此地先属金林保（民国）及金林乡（建国初期），1958年改设曾坑大队，1984年为曾坑村委会。[2]
1990年前后隶属石狮街道办事处，1993年转属湖滨街道办事处；2001年成为曾坑居委会，2002年改为社区居委会。2018年，社区拆分为曾坑、金曾两个社区。[2][1]
社区外来流动人口约6000人，常住人口则为6988人，统计至2024年。[1][3]
社区先后获「石狮市2016—2018年度文明社区」等称号。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
曾坑四端堂始建于清代，民国时重修，近年重建。它由对面厝、边祖厝、正祖厝和后新厝4座大厝组成，东西总长38.02米，南北总长69.67米，总建筑面积2040平方米。[2]
