湖滨街道位于福建省泉州市石狮市中心城区，是石狮市委、市政府所在地，也是全市的政治、经济、商贸和教育文化中心。[1]

街道1993年9月由原石狮镇拆分设立，名称源于原辖区内的湖滨塘。[1][3]

辖区内有清代始建的曾坑四端堂，以及玉湖王氏民居、石狮金沙庵等文物建筑。[7][5][6][8]

据博雅地名网，街道辖区面积约1.6平方千米。[3]

历史沿革[edit]

宋代这一带属安仁乡弦歌里，元、明、清分属十七至二十五都，民国属晋江县石狮镇。1958年设石狮人民公社，此后几经分设与合并。[4]

1993年9月，街道由原石狮镇拆分设立。[1]

2021年2月，街道在「福建省2018-2020年度省级文明村镇社区」名单中上榜。[3]

政府网站的街道概况页（页面时间为2024年4月）称，常住人口11.09万人；另有海外侨胞及港澳台同胞近3万人，流动人口6.12万人，户籍人口4.97万人。[1]

同一网站的街道办事处页则给出流动人口6.5万人、常住人口11.3万人，户籍人口4.8万人，该页未注明统计年份。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

曾坑四端堂位于曾坑社区，始建于清代，民国时重修，近年重建。它由对面厝、边祖厝、正祖厝和后新厝4座大厝组成，东西总长38.02米，南北总长69.67米，总建筑面积2040平方米。[7]

玉湖王氏民居位于玉湖社区，又称王起沃故居，建于清光绪二十六年（1900年）至宣统二年（1910年），为旅居菲律宾的爱国华侨王起沃的故居，建筑面积716.5平方米。2020年11月19日，福建省人民政府公布其为第十批省级文物保护单位。[6]

石狮金沙庵位于玉湖社区福利东路，年代为近现代，为市级文物保护单位，类别属近现代重要史迹及代表性建筑。[5][8]
