古春村位于春美乡中部，土地总面积12.04平方千米，村内以苏姓居民为主。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

宋、元、明三代，此地隶属进城乡的汤泉上团，清代归汤泉里大安社，民国初年仍依清制。1935年并入双翰联保，隶第四区；1939年归双阳乡管辖。[2]

1951年一度设古春乡，归第五区赤水管辖，1956年划入赤水区。1958年4月，它被并入双翰乡；同年10月另设古春大队，隶双翰公社。1960年转入赤水公社，1961年又回到双翰公社。1984年改制后，此地称春美乡古春村，并设村委会。[2]

地理环境[edit]

村域以山地为主，境内有高岭土、铜、铁等矿产资源。[3] 1997年，打石坑自然村落整体搬迁到吉垅。[2]

人口民族[edit]

据2021年春美乡各村简介，村内苏姓共505户、2217人，居民分布于温上、蛇坑头、茶者坑、田致、吉垅等自然村。[1]

同年外出流动人口为1683人，约占全村人口的76%。[1]

经济[edit]

以水稻、甘薯、马铃薯为主的农作之外，村里已建成塞北兔和药材两个基地。[2]

2024年11月，古春村被认定为2024年度福建省「一村一品」专业村，产业为棘胸蛙。[2] 福建省爱卫办于2021年11月把古春村命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

文物名录记有苏学会墓道碑、古春范宜人墓两处清代一般不可移动文物，均位于古春村境内。[4]
