厚德村在国宝乡东南隅，邻接格头、佛岭、南斗、内坂四村，并与浔中镇祖厝村接壤。村名来自郑氏先祖开基时所建的祖厝，该祖厝取名「厚德堂」，村名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

宋明年间，本村归集贤乡的新化里；清代改入新化里后格社。1943年起，改由德化县锦福乡下的后格保统辖。1958年间，此处属浔中人民公社，编为后格大队；1961年转为佛岭人民公社的后格大队；1980年又成为国宝人民公社厚德大队；1984年改设国宝乡厚德村委会。[1]
