南斗村位于国宝乡中部偏东北，与佛岭村、上洋村、祥云村、内坂村和厚德村相邻。村名的来历是：陈、林、童、余四姓先祖各立祖厝，后人聚族而居于此，遂以「南斗」为地名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时期，此地属新化里的李山社。民国初年沿袭清代旧制；1935年设南斗保，归第三区赤水乡管辖。1951年转入一个新设的乡；1958年组建南斗大队，隶属赤水公社。1961年划入另一新设公社，1981年归国宝公社，1984年改设国宝乡南斗村委会。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

村中设有戴云之战纪念馆，可供参观，用以回顾当年的红色历史。[2]

文化[edit]

2020年12月，本村被认定为「2020年泉州市中级版绿盈乡村」；2021年11月，福建省爱卫办命名本村为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]
