国宝乡在德化县中部略偏西南一带，周边是浔中、雷峰、赤水三镇与盖德乡，向西通往各乡镇的道路由此经过，乡政府驻佛岭村。乡名源于旧称「郭坂」，境内有明代建成的山后连氏祠堂和国宝云龙谷景区。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

据传古时此地多郭姓人家聚居，故称「郭坂」，清代文人以谐音改写，定为「国宝」。[1][2]

宋明两代属集贤乡新化里，清代归新化里后格社管辖，民国时期划入赤水乡。新中国成立后建制几经调整，1984年11月1日由国宝公社改设为乡。[1][3]

地理环境[edit]

乡境地势西北高而东南低，多中低山与丘陵，山地出产杉、松、毛竹等林木，地下有高岭土、铅锌、煤和泥煤等矿藏。[1][2]

土地总面积为63.4平方千米，百度百科则载行政区域面积为61.1平方千米，两处数字不一致。[1][3]

乡境位于戴云山主峰南麓，省道305线纵贯全乡南北，县城通往西部十个乡镇的公路都经过境内。[2][3]

人口民族[edit]

1999年底的统计为2632户、12174人（博雅地名网）；到2019年末，户籍人口13054人（百度百科）。[2][3]

文化[edit]

国宝乡于2012年12月获得环境保护部颁发的「2010—2011年度国家级生态乡镇」称号。2024年7月，国宝乡列入「2024年福建省“全域生态旅游小镇”」名单。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

山后连氏祠堂位于格头村，建于明代，1508年建成，坐南朝北，主楼为两层吊脚楼式样，建筑面积为585平方米。2013年，福建省政府把它列入第八批省级文物保护单位名录，周边外延20米为保护范围。[4]

国宝云龙谷景区位于佛岭村，景区以青蛙为核心形象，规划有三条主题游线。2023年7月被确定为国家4A级旅游景区。[5][6]
