草村村是汤头乡的行政村，紧挨着国有葛坑林场，在乡境东北方向，海拔868米。[1][2]全村土地总面积4.61平方千米，辖济头洋、草村、黄坑3个自然村落。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

据传早年粮食收成好，村民用稻草围出临时的粮仓，村名因此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

元、明、清时代，这里属德化县东西里的蚤春乡；民国时期属团结乡。[1]1959年至1960年间设草村大队；1984年改称汤头乡草村村，设村委会。[1]

经济与民生[edit]

村里因地制宜，发展造竹、造林，并种植德化梨与板栗。[2]1998年创建甲级卫生所，村民家中陆续装上程控电话。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2024年1月，草村村被命名为「2023年福建省卫生村」。[1][3]

2025年5月，村庄被确定为「泉州市2025年度市级一村一品专业村」，主导产业为红粬。[1]
