大墘村位于德化县西北部，在盖德镇北部，距县城约10公里，地处海拔约800米的山区，东邻盖德村，西接三福村与林地村，村域面积4.28平方千米。村名来自南宋末年林氏后人在此建屋立堂，称「大墘堂」，即今大墘祖厝。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

明代此地隶集贤乡永丰里；清朝时归在坊里上林社，民国初年的建制也延续清代。1944年，村归锦福乡大乾保管辖；此后经第一区、第八区与浔中区等划分。1958年设大乾大队，归浔中公社；1961年改属盖德公社；1984年改为村委会，隶属盖德镇。[2][3]

荣誉[edit]

2020年12月，大墘村被认定为2020年泉州市中级版「绿盈乡村」。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

村内现存清代建筑长乾堂，列为第三次全国文物普查不可移动文物。[1]
