下玲村位于福建省泉州市德化县葛坑镇东部，与葛坑村相接，毗邻湖头村、邱村，海拔800米，地势较高。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

村名因地势较低而得。村中下美溪穿村而过，故又称「下川」，俗称「下称」。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

据载，明朝永乐二年由湖北省麻山县分出迁来。清代隶属梅中里中央保，民国时属葛岭乡下村保。[1][2]

新中国成立后，最初归解放乡（即葛坑乡）管辖，1955年由葛坑乡析出，另设下玲乡。1958年并入葛坑公社，改称下玲大队；1984年成为下玲村；2000年随乡改镇，称葛坑镇下玲村。[2]

自然环境[edit]

村落依山而建，坑谷纵横，四周有铁钉尖、笔架山和仙公仑环绕。全村共6个自然村落，设7个村民小组。[1][2]

人口[edit]

1999年末，全村共233户，人口1011人，其中男510人，女501人，均为汉族。[1][2]

文物[edit]

普查名录列有下玲一带的5处清代窑址，即二板桥窑、珂垅窑、石坊窑、下尾窑和龙广窑，另有钟英堂，都是一般不可移动文物。[3]
