黄井村位于上涌镇中部偏北，村落分布在戴云山北麓的河谷与盆地之间，全村面积4.62平方千米，下辖2个自然村[1]。博雅地名网称村名因村民以黄姓为主、境内有一口水质甘甜的古井而得，同一页又称村中以张、蒋两姓为主，两说并存[1]。1999年底全村有297户1214人[1]。2022年11月，村庄被确定为「2022年泉州市中级版“绿盈乡村”」[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
此地历史上先后隶属常平乡上涌团、常平乡东西团，清代归东西里，民国初仍照清制。1935年划入上涌保，归上涌乡所辖；1950年改属第四区桂涌乡，后又回到上涌乡[1]。1958年与上涌合并，1961年另设黄井大队，归上涌公社管辖。1984年成立黄井村委会，隶属上涌乡；2001年以后随撤乡建镇，成为上涌镇的一个村[1]。
