小铭村位于赤水镇西北部九仙山下，下辖上洋、下洋2个自然村落。[1][2]

村名的来历是始祖绵十公于后晋天福五年（940年）由土坂迁居铭仙山寨，北宋乾德二年（964年）建仙山堂，村遂得名小铭。[3]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，村始建于北宋乾德二年（964年）；民国时期隶属本县赤水区。[4]

1960年分出，另立小铭大队，隶属赤水公社，下设三个生产组。1966至1980年间组建团结大队。1984年以后，此地名为赤水乡小铭村；1992年7月，赤水乡撤销为镇，本村归赤水镇，村委会随之设立。[4]

名胜古迹[edit]

村内现有宋代的仙山堂与明代的玉井堂，同为不可移动文物，另有涂氏宗族墓葬。[5]

村内有树龄五百多年的金花树。[2]
