岭边村位于赤水镇东部，村民建居于山岭之中的古驿道旁，村域土地总面积2.8平方千米，下辖草村、中洋、外洋3个自然村。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

村名来自村落所在的山岭，村民建居在岭中古驿道边。[3]

历史沿革[edit]

明、清代此地属集贤乡新化里和李山社，民国初期沿用清朝的制度；1935年划归赤水镇。[4]

1961年另设岭边大队，隶属赤水公社；1984年改制，成为赤水乡的岭边村；1992年7月乡制撤销，改镇后称赤水镇岭边村，并设立村委会。[4]

产业[edit]

村中特色产业是采用传统工艺加工的精制米粉，近年又开发出马铃薯粉丝。[2]
