猛虎村位于德化县西北部，隶属赤水镇，与国宝乡相邻，村域土地总面积4.2平方千米，村民以陈姓为主。[1][2]

村名的来历是村中有一座形似老虎的墓葬。[3]

历史沿革[edit]

清代至民国初年，此地属新化里李山新猛虎坊；1934年，此地编入德化第三区国安联保，称上安保；1938年改属赤水乡。[4]

1950年改称德化县第五区猛虎村，1951年设猛虎乡；1958年10月组建赤水人民公社猛虎大队。1984年，此地成为赤水乡猛虎村；1992年7月乡制撤销，改称赤水镇猛虎村，并设立村委会。[4]

地理环境[edit]

村内有上安坂、马坑、史都洋等自然村落，据博雅地名网，村民大部分外出务工。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2021年，猛虎村取得福建省卫生村称号。[2]

2022年10月，福建省农业农村厅将猛虎村认定为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。[1]

2025年3月，猛虎村被认定为「2024年度德化县乡村发展工作机制突出村」。[1]
