黄姓祖先在宋代开基于此，林、王、陈三姓此后陆续定居。[1]
村名据百度百科所述与境内地势有关，旧时有「坵坂十八坂」的说法。[2]

黄、王、林、陈四姓村民共176户683人，分居于不洛坂、甘坂、下楼坂等自然村。[1]
